Performance Study of JDCS Local Area Network

Jilin University Distributed Computing System (JDCS) is a local area ring network similar to the famous Cambridge ring. It has advantages such as high transmission rate, collision-free and low cost, while suffering from its relatively low performance in terms of the effective transmission rate. This paper, by means of theoretical analysis and system simulation, studies the influence of various system parameters on its performanco. and compares it with other ring networks.
