Abstract

Federated database system is an integration of many heterogeneous,distributed,autonomous and sharing member database systems.Query transaction submitted by federal user deals with not only local but also remote data.This paper presents a rule based federated query decomposition strategy,which can improve system performance and make new member system join easier.
