GENETIC PROGRAMMING PARADIGM: A SURVEY

Research on genetic programming （GP） has attracted a lot of attention recently. GP solves problems by using ideas from genetic algorithms and generating computer programs. The research state and advances in the GP are discussed and surveyed, and the basic algorithms, theory and implementation techniques of the GP are outlined. Some GP systems and their main applications are also introduced. Further research directions of general interest on this topic are proposed.
