In this paper,we discuss the class of comparison-based parallel algorithms for non-numerical computations including parallel sorting,merging,selection,searching algorithms and parallel graph algorithms.It may not cover all the research areas of the nonnumerical computations.However,the main research aspects of this subject have been introduced.
