Electroless Plated Co-P Films Rigid Disks Manufacture

This paper describes the technical problems in plated disks and their solutions. Electromagnetic characteristics of electroless Co-P films, for which organic substances are added to eleclroless Co-P baths, are presented and the primary effects of applying plasma ionizable hydrocarbon deposited semi-diamond carbon protective coating and perfluoropolyether are reported. The manufacturing process of rigid disks is also given.
