Iterative Block Hough Transform and Straight Line Extraction in Engineering Drawings

This paper introduces an iterative block Hough transform algorithm which cuts short greatly the time for Hough transform, and whose performance is demonstrated in an instance. The processing speed is increased about 24 times, and the original image has been reconstructed. The algorithm will become a powerfull tool for extracting lines.
