Design and Implementation of Executive Support System

This paper discusses the necessity and theoretical foundation of developing a new type of information system—Executive Support System （ESS）,which is to support the polioy-decision activities of enterprise senior managers.Its design and implementation is also explored.BSS is a new field in developing Decision Support Systems （DSS） and it can provide senior managers with fresh support which can not be supplied by the existing information systems-MIS and DSS.
