EDDBMS:A DBMS ORIENTED TO ENGINEERING DESIGN APPLICATION

EDDBMS is a database management system oriented to engineering design application, which was developed by the authors in Windows environment. This paper first introduces the system architecture and design method of EDDBMS. Then it describes the functional aspects of EDDBMS, such as integrated management of CAD pictures, OLE object management, support of aggregate type, ODBC application programming interface, etc .. The application background of these functional aspects is also discussed.
