NUREST:A REAL TIME EXPERT SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT TOOL

The features of real time expert systems are summarized in this paper. Combining knowledge based techniques with real time task management technology, a real time expert system development tool NUREST is designed and implemented. Its design and implementation are described, focusing on the knowledge representation, real time control mechanism, and the inference mechanism. With the tool, a real time expert system for steel making process has been developed.
