Abstract
A core stateless proportional adaptive fair bandwidth allocation mechanism (CSPAFA) is presented, which performs per flow state management in edge router. In CSPAFA, the edge routers differentiate between marked flows and non marked flows. By using DPS, the relevant information is inserted into IP header in edge routers. Core routers allocate proportionally output link bandwidth to marked flows according to their service profiles and current network load, and perform fair bandwidth allocation for non marked flows. In addition, CSPAFA can adjust dynamically bandwidth allocation between marked flows and non marked flows. Finally, the simulation results are given and CSPAFA is testified.
