The Design and Implementation of a Section Algorithm for 3D Objects

Abstract
In computer aided design and manufacture (CAD/CAM) of machines and architectures etc., it is necessary to investigate the internal structure and layout of object by whole section/angle section. The algorithm presented in this paper completes 3 D clipping and section for arbitrary object in any position with transforming coordinates, judging region, intersecting, ordering section or segment points. The complexity of the algorithm is proportional to the face number of the object.
