AN IMPROVEMENT OF USER INTERFACE FOR SUN WORKSTATIONS

In this paper, an improvement of user interface for UNIX operating system based on SUN workstation is given. The improved user interface is friendly to a novice user, and every variety of UNIX commands can be directly manipulated in terms of the clear instruction of command format and the context sensitive help information. The basic feature of the program design is the use of the command table data structure and Sun View tools, which makes the programming very easy and terse.
