Research on Traffic Information Grids

Information grid can provide stronger computing and more resource sharing by integrateing heterogeneous computers. It is an effective method of resolving traffic problems. According to similar features between city traffic and information grid, the prototype system of a traffic information grid integrates information grid technology to crash the bottlenecks of ITS（intelligent transportation system）. It realizes resource sharing and promotes computing efficiency with grid in selection of optimal travel scheme. Simultaneously, it is the demonstration of practising and applying information grid technology, and it can promote further study and development of information grid technology.
