    CONSISTENCY MAINTENANCE IN WEB-BASED REAL-TIME COOPERATIVE EDIT SYSTEM

    • As a very important field of CSCW, cooperative edit systems have a rapid development in recent years. Many systems have arisen and been put into use. But most of them don’t support the brain storm edit mode, because they can’t settle the consistency problem primarily. Introduced in this paper is how to use the GOTO arithmetic to settle the consistency problem in a Web-based real-time cooperative edit system. It includes the following contents: system architecture, inconsistency problems, GOTO arithmetic, operation dependence checking and operation transformation. Finally, the experiment system WRCES, which is based on the GOTO arithmetic, is also introduced.
