ALGORITHMS FOR EXTRACTING FEATURE REGION FROM 2D MESH DATA

Mesh data is usually a massive data set obtained from computation and measurement. In the visualization of mesh data,an efficient method for decreasing computation and memory is to extract feature region from massive data set and visualize,store or transmit it solely. For this reason,some algorithms are developed for extracting connected feature region and detecting feature’s edge from two dimensional mesh data.
