A Knowledge—Based Method for Modelling in CAD Systems

Design model in CAD systems is the abstract representation of design object in computers. It is the foundation for further analysis and evaluation in design process. In current CAD systems, command language and interactive mode are the main methods for modelling, although many drawbacks exist. To overcome these drawbacks, a completely new method is advanced in this paper, in which the knowledge-representing and problem-solving technology of artificial intelligence are used.
