Notes on the Design of Metalanguages for Transformational Programming

Metaprogramming is one of the major approaches to transformational programming. This paper lnvestigates the requirements, design principles and structures of metalanguages, based on the analysis of the state of the arl in this area and the experiments with the construction of transformation systems, with transformational programming and with the design and implementation of a metalanguagc TrapML.
