MACH Operating System's Thread State and Thread State Transition

Math is a multiprocessor operating system kernel to support distributed and parallel computation. To improve parallelism of the system and decrease the overhead of context switch, Mach separates a typical process into a task and a thread. As thread is a basic unit of scheduling and running, this paper discusses in detail the thread state and the thread state transition.
