A Concurrent Transaction Management Model for Object Oriented Engineering Database Management System O₂S

O2S is an object oriented engineering database management system being developed on Sun Workstation. Transactions in engineering application domain are of long duration, nested, hierarchical logically and have the property of dealing with a great number of data. A proposed model of concurrent transaction management of O2S system is presented. In the model, issues of design transaction management, recovery of database and lock techniques for complex objects are studied.
