Meaningful Watermarking for Audio with Fast Resynchronization

    • Synchronization is one of the key issues of audio watermarking The current audio watermarking algorithms lack effective techniques for synchronization In this paper the synchronization scheme in communications network is adopted and a fast resynchronized meaningful blind detection audio watermarking algorithm is proposed The features of this algorithm are: ① with the technology of spatial watermarking, synchronization signal is embedded into the audio signal in order to resist some possible attack along the time axis such as cropping, frame losing during network transport, etc , ② fast resynchronization of the audio signal is achieved based on the frame synchronization technology of digital communications, ③ blind detection is realized with the good balance between inaudibility and robustness, and ④ BCH coding is applied in order to lower the error rate of detection The experimental results show that the hidden watermark has good robustness against noises, MP3 coding and cropping, as well as a small computation of the algorithm
