RESEARCH ON A GRAPHIC CODE

A graphic code is studied to make manual denotation and machine recognition convenient. The research and design strategies of describing the digital characters with graphic structure are given. To improve its ability for detecting error recognition and its usability for manual denotation, the graphic code is designed as a positive weighted （ n, m ） code. By using the now available machine recognition techniques, the error rate of recognition can be reduced to the level of error rate of bar code. It is easy for everyone to denote data manually by using the code.
