Abstract

The parallel merging by fixed sampling （PMFS） algorithm is proposed and analyzed in the paper.Based on the Dawning 1000 massively parallel processors system,the experiment results of two applications using the PMFS algorithm are given, and finally the PSRS algorithm is compared with a parallel merge sort algorithm derived from PMFS.
