A PARADIGM OF SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT FOR MASS CUSTOMIZATION

In this paper, a paradigm of software development for mass customization （SDMC） is proposed on the basis of domain specific engineering, component based software engineering and concurrent engineering. This paradigm aims at satisfying the individual customer needs with the mass development of off the shelf software. Also introduced are the process of software development for mass customization, the architecture of software products family for mass customization, a model of integrated product and process for mass customization, and an agile organization of software development for mass customization.
