Image Retrieval Based on Fractal Dimensions

On the basis of differential box-counting dimension and multi-fractal dimension,a novel image retrieval algorithm using fractal dimensions is proposed,which makes use of the texture information. Experiments are carried out on the Brodatz texture database and a real image database. The results show that the algorithm obtains a good performance.
