AN OBJECT BASED FRAMEWORK TO INTEGRATE INFORMATION IN CIMS ENVIRONMENT

Information integration is a key issue for CIMS. By introducing object oriented ideas in integration data model and architecture design, an object based framework to integrate heterogeneous ,distributed and autonomous information in CIMS environment is proposed. The design of the local object schema and global object schema is presented in detail. Compared with traditional approaches, this approach can express more naturally the semantic knowledge existing between the data repositories, not only having little influence on the original applications, but also making the system extend easily.
