Parallel Algorithms of Non-nuumerical Computations (Part One)

In this paper, we discuss the class of comparison-based parallel algorithms for non-numerical computations including parallel sorting, merging, selection, searching algorithms and parallel graph algorithms. It may not cover all the research areas of the nonnumerical computations. However, the main research aspects of this subject have been introduced.
