ORDERS IN OBJECT ORIENTED DATABASES

This paper demonstrates the importance of orders in object bases to iterative message passing with a case study, and comes to the conclusion that collections in OODBs can not be simply treated as sets It is proposed that collections should be sequences of objects The concepts of OODB state, collection, class and iteration are defined in terms of algebraic specifications
