REAL-TIME STRATEGIES FOR PC BASED MULTIMEDIA UNIX SYSTEMS
With the experiences of extending multimedia functions to AT ＆ T Unix SVR 4 2/386 and UnixWare operating systems,the real time strategies for PC based multimedia unix systems are discussed.As to different media,the different methods in setting process priority,sleep priority,interrupt priority and CPU priority are also discussed.Finally, a multimedia realtime scheduling approach is presented.
