A REVIEW OF ROUTING PROTOCOLS FOR MOBILE AD HOC NETWORKS

    • A MANET(mobile ad-hoc network) is an autonomous infrastructureless network system of mobile hosts which are connected with each other via wireless links. The goal of such a MANET is to instantly deploy a powerful network communication system with robustness to provide efficient services for data and multimedia applications. Efficient routes must be created in order to support communications between mobile hosts. In this paper, the progress of the routing technologies is surveyed, and various routing protocols are described and evaluated, which cover most types of MANET routing protocols.
