Mathematical Model of Complex Object Versions

The version management mechanism of complex （composite） objects plays an important role in engineering database systems. This paper proposes a mathematical model of complex object versions, VCOHOR, a version extension to the COHOR complex object model, in order to support the modification and selection as well as configuration of engineering design. The model of complex objects and the basic operations of version management system of DATFEA in semantics are also discussed.
