RESEARCH AND DESIGN OF THE VIRTUAL SYNCHRONIZATION PROTOCOL IN GROUP COMMUNICATION

In group communication, virtual synchronization communication is a very important communication model that guarantees that the failure of group member can’t lead to the delivery of the uncompleted message set. In order to effectively support the development of the distributed fault tolerant applications and the cooperative applications, based on the research of the failure detector problem and the consensus problem, the virtual synchronization is converted to the consensus problem and a virtual synchronization protocol is proposed based on the consensus protocol. A virtual synchronization service is also designed and implemented.
