The Design and Implementation of Network Environment and Standard System Interface Based on RS-422

Based on the RS-422, we developed a network environment which has the same function as the 5-layer protocal has (i.e. from physical to session layer), and implemented a IBM NETBIOS-compatible standard system calling interface. This system provides necessary operation conditions for multiusers software such as dBASE III PLUS etc.. In this paper, the design idea and implementation method of the system are discussed.
