TCRES:A PRACTICAL RELIABILITY ESTIMATION SYSTEM FOR FAULT TOLERANT COMPUTER SYSTEMS

Reliability estimation of fault tolerant computer systems is one of the popular problems in the field of reliability research. This paper introduces a practical reliability estimation system for fault tolerant computer systems: TCRES. It can make reliability estimation of six typical redundant structures of fault tolerant computer systems by using seven methods of the reliability analysis. The basic algorithm of TCRES and its overall structure, design thinking, usage and so on are discussed.
