SUPPORTING COMPONENT-BASED SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT BY EXTENDING THE CDL WITH SOFTWARE CONFIGURATION INFORMATION

A component-based software development method provides the feature of software construction and evolution. In this paper, a component-based software configuration management model is introduced and a method of extending CDL （component description language） with system evolution information is presented. In this way the component assemble system and configuration management system can be integrated into a whole, which provides powerful technical supports for the component-based software development method. The integrated system can efficiently support construction definition for the component-based system. Moreover, it can support system evolution and deployment.
