Explanation-Based Learning With Analogy Knowledge

In this paper we show how to integrate the new knowledge in examples with incomplete domain theory through Explanation-Based Learning. The learning procedure, which is based on domain theory and analogy knowledge and guided by an example, is purely deductive, so that the revised domain theory can keep its correctness. The prototype is implemented in QUINTUS PROLOG at SUN workstation.
