EFFECTIVE SPEEDUP:A NEW PARALLEL PERFORMANCE METRIC

Speedup is usually used to evaluate parallel processing systems. But it does not reflect well the performance of a parallel processing system.Speedup is not beneficial to processing node with higher speeds and improved algorithms, so it is unreasonable. A new metric unit, that is,effective speedup, is proposed in this paper. It can reasonably reflect the improved performance of a parallel processing system.
