AN INTERFACE FOR HUMAN HUMAN INTERACTION IN COMPUTER SUPPORTED COOPERATIVE WORK

Computer supported cooperative work （CSCW） involves not only interaction between people and computers, but also interaction between person and person. Human human interaction interfaces for CSCW systems include human computer interaction. This paper presents a multimedia interface for human human interaction （HHI）, which was designed and implemented in SUN SPARC workstations. Based on speech act theory, HHI can support people separated geographically to interact synchronously and asynchronously. In HHI, a lot of application tools are provided for participants during interactions.
