    INTEGRATION-ORIENTED CAD SYSTEMS

    • Integration is a key issue in CIMS.It is necessary to exchange and share the information generated by the different designers in a convenient environment. This paper focuses on how information produced at the design stage can be integrated into the CAPP/CAM. In order to obtain both geometry and manufacturing information to build product model for parts, it is necessary to develop a feature modeling system. The output information are converted to STEP neutral file to close the gap in CAD/CAPP/CAM.
