Abstract

Object-oriented languages show great potential for exploiting concurrency and parallelism.This paper introduces the design and implementation of an abstract machine for ParaObject-a parallelobject-oriented language. First, the ParaObject language is briefly described. Then, the abstract machineof ParOobject is discussed in detail. Finally, some important implementaion issues are discussed.
