An Overview of the Methods for Hand-Printed Chinese Character Recognition

This paper introduces the representative works on hand-printed Chinese character reco- gnition reported in recent years.Since it is a very difficult subject and the studies are mainly within the stage of method exploring and scaled experiments far from practical use,the introduction stresses on method classification.And the author’s opinions on various problems are also presented.
