This paper introduces the design and implementation of a realtime multitask operating system MT-DOS based on the popular MS-DOS 3.X and presents a hybrid task scheduling strategy aiming at solving the DOS reentry problem. MT-DOS is composed of task-management subsystem and resource-management subsystem.
