Analysis of Relationship Between Scheduling Algorithm and the Performance of Web Cluster Servers

Analyzed in this paper is the influence of the load balance scheduling algorithm and the locality scheduling algorithm on the performance of Web cluster servers, and the conclusions are: ① Because of taking full advantage of the main memory resources of the back ends, the performance of Web cluster servers applied with the locality scheduling algorithm is better than that of those applied with the load balance algorithm; ② In the load balance scheduling algorithm, distributing requests completely based on their contents will lead to load imbalance, and in order to improve the performance of the cluster significantly, allowing appropriate amount of file duplication is obligatory
