Abstract
This paper presents a design of an intelligent memory system (IMS) for our Parallel Graph Reduction (PGR) machine. IMS supports high level storage access commands and deals with information storage automatically. It also undertakes storage management for itself, including dynamic memory allocation and garbage collection. Here we propose an efficient algorithm for distributed and parallel garbage collection Because of IMS. the calculating and storage accessing, and the calculating and storage managing can be done parallelly.
