    A NOVEL MULTIMEDIA SYNCHRONIZATION MODEL BASED ON RSVP AND WFQ

    • Synchronization is very important for multimedia real time communication in Internet. Scheduling mechanisms can’t maintain the synchronization relationship among correlative streams at the network elements(NEs) today. A multimedia real time communication model is proposed based on RSVP and WFQ. By reserving resources for correlative streams in the same end to end path, and by doing correlative scheduling for these streams at each network element(NE) along the path, the steady timing relationship among the correlative streams’ data units can be easily maintained. Thus the sinks can do synchronization easily because the time difference and delay jitter among correlative streams’ data units can be reduced greatly through using this method.
