Abstract

A fundamental development environment under UNIX is presented. By using some UNIX tools, it provides ystematic approaches to some common problems insoftware development that include the organization, sharing and rotection of variousfiles, software revision control, formatting and editing of textual files, and creation ofsmall tools. his environment helps to improve development productivity and productquality.
