REAL-TIME MODELING AND RENDERING OF OCEAN WAVE SURFACE FOR VIRTURAL NAVAL BATTLEFIELDS

    • An efficient and fast ocean wave modeling algorithm has been proposed for virtual naval battlefield walkthrough. The algorithm considers the complex ocean wave conditions, introduces probability statistics and using view dependent continuous resolution triangle meshes for ocean wave presentation. we have integrated the algorithm in a virtual naval battlefield walkthrough that supports real time dynamics display at a constant frame rate independent of machine characteristics, and the tradeoff between the amount of detail in geometry and color. The algorithm has been improved to meet the requirement of virtual naval battlefield walkthrough very well.
