THE SOFTWARE INTERFACE TECHNOLOGY FOR PEER-TO-PEER COMMUNICATION

Peer-to-peer communication between network nodes is the basis for developing C/S application. In heterogeneous network, the same protocol must be supported ondifferent network nodes. So’ this paper introduces firstly the network’ access method onlink layer with NIT under Sun OS, and the formats of each packet of NetWare NetBIOS.And then the realizing method of NetBIOS emulater with NIT is given. It can beused to support peer-to-peer communication between UNIX workstation and DOS PC.
