AN IMPLEMENTATION METHOD OF HYPERMEDIA DOCUMENT SYSTEM BASED ON HYTIME

A Hypermedia document consists of a set of structural information that can be in different forms of media, and it’s difficult for traditional document system to describe this information. As an implementation of SGML, HyTime standard can present not only the structure of Hypermedia document, but also the synchronization relationships between media objects. One of the HyTime’s greatest drawbacks is its complexity, that is, it’s very hard to implement the whole module function of HyTime. In this paper, a three layer system is developed and implemented, in which multimedia presentations can be retrieved.
