Ada95 HIERARCHICAL LIBRARY MECHANISM AND PROGRAMMING IN THE LARGE

    • Hierarchical libraries and child library units, introduced in Ada95, extend the separate compilation mechanisms and visibility rules. The extention can not only reduce recompilation cost, but also have advantages of decomposing a large system into several subsystems, and of object oriented programming. This paper introduces, discusses, and analyses the concepts and facilities of hierarchical libraries.
