NCFW expert system is applied to exploration of the neotectonic control of fracturewater resources in the granitic and metamorphic rocks.In this paper,we briefly describe the structureand characters of NCFW,focusing on the knowledge representation,the inference mechanism,the know-ledge acquisition and man-machine interface.The main techniques used in implementing the systemusing the Chinese character version of Turbo Prolog are also discussed.
